UI/UX Safety and Controls

Create safety-centric user-experience / user-interaction (UX/UI) features (e.g. notifications and user controls)

1. Regulators 

   • Utilize device-specific UX/UI Transparency for in-progress processes: 

     • Does a system use mobile OS-specific notification to make users aware that data capture is in progress?

       • Is there an interface where users discover what data has been collected?

       • Push/serve user notifications to indicate algorithmic processes utilizing affective state data are operating.

     • Does a system inform users that content that is being displayed is utilizing affective state data?

   • Transparent display mechanics to avoid using manipulative UX interventions like dark patterns.

     • Are users made away of platform mechanics?
